My Students

My classroom is made up of 20 students all of different backgrounds. My classroom has a variety of different learners and my goal in life is to create a fun learning environment for all.

I work in a large school with a very high immigrant population.

Students at my school come from poverty-driven homes. I see a lot of my students come to school with the same clothes each day. They are all needy in their own way. Although they are needy most of them try to stay positive.

My Project

My class is currently sharing laptops with 4 other classrooms. Teachers are required to teach technology standards yet our school doesn’t have enough technology to support current enrollment at our school.

These four tablets are needed to help support both my reading and math curriculum.

My goal is to use them at stations throughout the day. We will use apps like frontrow for both math and reading; and we will use other apps such as raz kids and moby max for reading.

Our current laptop situation is not ideal as we were given refurbished ones that don’t always work. This project will help support the requirements needed for students to be proficient in different areas.
