Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A well-equipped classroom is fundamental to a successful high school English year. Items like storage boxes, wall bins, drawers, and crates are essential for maintaining order amidst the constant flow of papers—essays, handouts, and assignments. They create designated homes for materials while reducing clutter. 

This organization allows more time for instruction and less for searching, fostering an environment where students can focus on learning. 

The composition notebooks will be utilized as ongoing interactive notebooks throughout the year. These notebooks become a tangible record of a student's progress as a writer and thinker throughout the year, cultivating essential academic habits. They will also serve as an invaluable resource to my students at the end of the year as they prepare for the AP exam. Which brings us to the glue sticks & highlighters. They enable successful interactive notebooks, where students can create visual aids and graphic organizers to deepen their understanding of texts and concepts using teacher provide resources and materials.

Charging and electricity needs are a daily concern in the classroom which is why the batteries, chromebook chargers, and surge protectors are paramount to student success. Student will be able to use batteries, plug in their chargers, or even borrow a charger if needed throughout the class period.

Finally, the dual monitor arms will be essential to our success in the AP classroom. The AP seminar students are required to give formal presentations as part of their AP coursework. The dual monitors will offer them the dual purpose of one screen to prepare their notes and speaking ideas, and the second screen will mirror the projector so the audience can view their presentation. 

Collectively, these supplies create an organized, supportive, and dynamic learning environment, empowering students to thrive in English.
