This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students use various tools in our classroom to support their learning and independence. Sentence strips help them build and revise sentences, explore new vocabulary, and collaborate during reading and writing activities. Bookshelves are stocked with a range of leveled and themed texts that students can choose from to support independent reading and research. Dry-erase notebook boards offer a reusable space for students to solve problems, practice writing, and engage in interactive lessons without the pressure of making mistakes. Goal journals give students a place to set weekly learning goals, reflect on their progress, and celebrate achievements, encouraging ownership of their growth and learning. These supplies will also assist us with getting ready for next year.
