Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In our low-income/high poverty school district where 100% of the students qualify for free lunch, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. To combat the many challenges they face, I am determined to provide and expose them to the technology and skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. They are curious, eager to learn, and desperate to please anyone who takes an interest! My students don't have technology at home so I'm looking to provide it in our classroom for them to experience. Keeping them engaged and learning new ways to incorporate technology is a goal.
My Project
My first graders definitely deserve all the rewards for their focus and determination throughout this difficult year. Any kind of new motivation always is useful! These reward stickers, erasers and fidget toys will be used to encourage, celebrate and add more daily fun to our class. Seeing their faces light up when they receive a reward would warm anyone's heart.
My six and seven year olds deserve to be celebrated and motivated while still dealing with so many restrictions in school.
Keeping them engaged and striving to finish strong is always the goal! Having a selection of rewards and prizes readily available would help make social distancing and mask learning so much more fun!
