My Students

My students inspire me each day. My 2nd graders are creative, sweet, and inquisitive. These students are a diverse group of learners. We are a public school in an urban community where all of the students receive either free or reduced lunch. This year I will be teaching in an inclusion classroom.

My students' desire and love of learning always pushes me to grow as a teacher.

I can't wait to be back in the classroom making memories.

My Project

These books will provide my students with many new adventures to lose themselves in. These chapter books will help update our classroom library with new series and help expand ones we already have in our classroom.

It's important for children to have access to a wide range of books in the classroom to ensure they find the perfect fit.

One of my favorite parts of teaching is seeing my students' eyes light up while they are reading. These additions to the classroom library will help make that a reality to my students.

Since we will begin the year virtually, I will be doing book talks daily on these new titles to spark interest and excitement in my students. In addition, they will be found in our classroom library as soon as we return to school.
