My Students
Everybody is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is inadequate. Albert Einstein
I teach the K-2 Primary Autism class at Walgrove Elementary.
My students are 5 -8 years old, energetic, smart, caring, independent and eager to learn. Walgrove is a great environment for all of us and we love spending time with all of our friends around campus.
My Project
My students need technology that provides universal access, Ipads are a big step in the right direction. An ipad allows students with Autism to access content in easy, exciting ways. There are many great applications that allow my students a more rich learning experience. There are many applications that are designed to facilitate student growth. We will use applications to improve or language arts skills( picture identification, letter identification, letter- sound correspondence, site words, reading, etc.) The are numerous applications that help teachers enhance math content. The ipads will be used across curriculum to support a wide variety of instruction.
The ipad allows my students an ease of access that textbooks, worksheets and teacher led instruction fails to do.
The ipad provides access to applications that are content rich and fun for students.
