Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember how much fun you had writing and drawing in First Grade? My first graders have just started to learn how to write and illustrate stories.
I currently teach 26 very sweet first graders in a Title I school located in a high poverty and high crime area in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken.
My Project
My students will be using our paper to write about their favorite exercises. We have just began exercising in our class on a daily basis. The children have been walking in place, doing jumping jacks, stretches and more. I would love for them to write about their favorite exercises that they are doing. I would also like for them to draw their favorite exercise. The paper will be extremely helpful for this health project.
