My Project

The items chosen for this project include some basic classroom materials that will be used on a daily basis. As educators, we know that our students learn in all different ways. Using different materials such as markers, dry erase boards, pastels, and glue can help engage students and keep the interested in the curriculum. Creating projects and using different writing instruments can give students an opportunity to strengthen their skills and reinforce fine motor skills. Since these materials are mostly consumable, it is really helpful to have multiple packs to get use through the school year.

My students enjoy using different types of materials to show all that they have learned.

For example, our curriculum includes a landscape art project that requires oil pastels. This is a great opportunity for our students to learn about a different type of medium. They can see how the consistency of the oil pastels changes the outcome of the project.

At the beginning of the year, my students will bring in some materials from the supply list provided to their family over the summer. Unfortunately, some families may not be able to provide the items on the list, or they may not have time to shop for them before school starts. We would be extremely grateful to receive some of the essential writing and art material so that every student has what they need for the school year.
