Help me give my students access to English language acquisition lessons, reading materials, and other STEM activities with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Salinas's classroom raised $1,502
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom would greatly benefit from having this technology available to students every day. Unfortunately, we do not have enough computers in the school and often have to schedule their use. This limits my ability to provide exciting, engaging, and fun reading and STEM projects to increase learning. In order to review vocabulary on iReady and other apps, and STEM concepts through experiments and online labs, an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil will provide my students with so many opportunities.
The iPad will allow me to reach students in a multitude of ways including interactive lessons, games, and other activities!
For example, the camera's front and back lens allow students to capture photos and movies and save them to Photos to use in their projects. They can record science experiments or see and compare daily images to understand how a flower blooms. Students will also be able to use the Apple Pencil to manipulate the iPad like they would their papers, allowing them to fine-tune their motor skills as they practice writing using calligraphy apps from the App Store. STEM students also need to capture their ideas with notes and sketches. Students can jot down notes and sketch ideas and observations on iPad as naturally as they do on paper. One of my goals this year is to ensure that students, of all levels, feel, and know what they can achieve. With your help, that will be possible. Thank you.
