My Students
Daily, I am impressed by the kindness that my students demonstrate to others - especially their classmates. They have such huge hearts and support each other much like a family would do for one another. They also have the greatest smiles and personalities.
Many of my students struggle with the current schedule and academic atmosphere.
They want to be together and need classroom interaction. I am trying to provide them with as much engagement as possible, but struggle with current restrictions to movement and activities.
My Project
The supplies received from this project will be utilized in small groups in the classroom to support instruction in ELA, math, and science. The tools will provide hands-on experiences where students can manipulate shapes and patterns to create physical structures. Due to the pandemic, funding for materials like this has been difficult to receive because money has had to be allocated to emergency resources. Students learn and work so much better when they are manipulating hands-on materials and discovering how things work and operate. The student becomes very entertained by these learning scenarios...and I can't wait to challenge them with projects that will require them to imagine, think, and create!
I love watching my students grow in their love of learning, these materials will help to ensure that their love has a foundation of practical application.
