This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, I have 27 sweet first graders. We are a Title I school with kids from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school has a high Hispanic population with many of our students being English learners. Although my students come from many different backgrounds, they are truly a tight-knit community that works together and treats each other like family. My students are kind, creative, ambitious and so eager to learn. Their curious minds are enthusiastic and fearless as they take on new challenges that each day presents.
My goal in this project is to provide them with some basic necessities they need to learn such as good pencils, whiteboard erasers, and headphones to use with their school tablets.
My students work very hard every day. I would also love to reward that continued effort with some fun incentives such as smelly pencils and bookmarks and cool stickers.
Lastly, I would love to have a couple of wire wall hangers to display all of my students' beautiful work for everyone to see.
