This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am an educator in the 18-21 Transition Program in Denver. We work with students who have graduated high school and are working towards their post-secondary goals. Students are working in the areas of job training, educational programs, and independent living. Students are working on finding jobs. Students are also working on making their own lunches (ziploc bags will be used for their sandwiches and snacks!) Students are working on learning how to access their community (and will use earbuds to be able to make phone calls and communicate with others).
