My Project

My project will allow students to create English and Hawaiian names signage of the plants we have growing at school.

To help the climate and environment people need to know about how ancient Hawaiian plants allowed for holistic natural medicinal practices, so the important use of these plants can be continued.

The painting supplies will help students create informational signs with medicinal uses for the plants in our micro-farm.

The community will be able to benefit from the signs by reading why the plants are important and the purpose the plants serve.

The plants will be spelled in Hawaiian and in English.

Middle school students will create beautiful signs using the materials in this project. The signs will serve as a community service to honor our environment, and to all who visit the micro-farm while learning how ancient Hawaiians used the plants for medicinal purposes.

Ms. Espie will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 22.
