Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kindergarten students come from a low socioeconomic community in Chicago. Though these are the challenges they face, these children have great personalities that set them apart.
I have an enthusiastic group of students this year who are full of personality.
My students make me smile each and every day. I am delighted to see how well they engage in conversation as we work in small groups.
My students are excited to be at school where their love of learning can grow. They are learning to work together with others in a respectful environment.
My Project
In Kindergarten we are learning to count and explore composing and decomposing numbers. These Lakeshore Learning math games will benefit my students as they learn one to one correspondence. They will also help create a visual representation of quantity so students can compare greater than and less than as the explore numbers.
In my classroom, my goal is to have students engaged as they explore their math stations.
My students will be able to have fun while learning. Isn't that always the best way to learn? Number sense is crucial in building the foundation for students. Please help me meet the needs of my kindergarten students.
