Help me give my students math materials such as hands-on games, counters and toys, for the math center to help with number recognition and counting skills.
I am going to start teaching Junior Kindergarten in an amazing school district. The ages of my students are 4 to just turning 5. This bonus year is a gift to students who just miss the kindergarten cut off date or who would be very young and parents for some reason think maybe an extra year would benefit them. My challenge is to keep these children engaged in independent, educational and most important exciting activities so they enjoy learning and to get them ready for kindergarten in a play based experience.
Junior Kindergarten students like to be active and hands-on with their learning.
My goal is to provide that environment to these students every day!
My Project
I am looking for some hands on games and materials to use at our Math center! The Junior Kindergarten kids needs hands-on games, counters and toys to get them counting and practice their number recognition skills!
I especially love the count and move set that will allow the children to be active while learning numbers.
These materials will help stock the math center so we can play and learn with a purpose. Self driven free play is important. The children will love going to the math center in addition to others and choose what they would like to play and learn with.
