This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Special Education teacher who serves the endearing youngest diverse learners and general education learners at our wonderful elementary school. I teach in three different preschool blended classes of pre-K students in a low-income neighborhood. As a result, many of my students struggle with difficult family situations, and school is a place where they can not only grow but THRIVE.

I will use these materials to create and organize engaging and colorful crafts, games, and lesson plans that will excite my students' natural curiosity.

The $500 Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will give me the flexibility to find the materials that suit their unique learning needs, particularly LITERACY and MATHEMATICS. The laminating sheets and laminating machine will help to preserve the materials we use, reducing expenses and ensuring that my students' beautiful work survives forever. The Velcro dots will help the tactile learners in my class to manipulate the interactive materials I create with ease. I will use the papers to print the materials I will download from the Teachers Pay Teachers website. The binders, sheet protectors, binder pockets, folders, hole puncher, and markers will help me organize the learning materials I will make.

Despite the challenges they face, my students astound me every day with their enthusiasm and joy for learning. I'm confident that these materials will make a huge impact not just in their schooldays, but in their lives!
