My Students

My students bring such joy to my life and I am thankful to be their teacher. We seriously have some of the best students in our small town, elementary school. I know that every school and every teacher says that, but I know just how amazing our students are.

My students are always ready to try something new, because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.

I want to grow with them!

Our school is over sixty percent free or reduced price lunch, but together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need.

I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.

My Project

Books are such a big part of our classroom. Each day we have a read-to-self time right after recess. It is such a great time for students to pick great books to read.

It is one of their favorite times of the day.

They also love to pick up a book when they finish projects early. It is so great to see their love of reading!

On Wednesdays, my students use our Reading A-Z subscription during our read-to-self time, BUT our subscription runs out at the end of this month. I'd love to be able to continue to allow my students the opportunity to use this resource at home and at school.

On the back of our door we have two challenges going. One is for 1,000 digital books and one is 112 read-to-self books! We're so excited to meet these challenges! This project would also allow my students to pick out $100 in books that my students want. I love giving them choices.
