Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We will be using these items to create a fun day for 100 Days of School and Valentine’s Day.

Please consider donation our fun activities.

For the 100th Days of School activities, students will create a snack with 100 pieces of various foods (e.g., pretzels, cereal, candy), grouped and counted by tens. Students will string together 100 beads to make a necklace. Students will estimate and count how many licks it takes to reach 100.

Engage in 100 physical movements, such as 10 sets of 10 exercises (e.g., jumping jacks, toe touches).

For the Valentine’s Day activities, students will sort, count, and graph candy hearts to solve math problems. Students will design and create Valentine’s Day cards for their 5th-grade buddies. Students will give their buddies a card and share a fun snack with them.
