My Project
The members of the first-grade team at PS 34 have created this Donors Choose project to fund the purchase of a "1 to 1 Geodes Tutor Kit" from the Wilson Language Training program.
Teachers plan to use the components of the kit to support students as they practice foundational reading skills learned through the Fundations phonics and spelling program and build knowledge about the world around them.
The aim is also to pilot the use of this kit to test it's viability as an assessment resource in grades K-2.
The Tutor Kit contains (as per the website description) 176 engaging, age-appropriate titles: 48 Level K Geodes books, 64 Level 1 Geodes books, 64 Level 2 Geodes books, 3 Inside Geodes educator guides (1 guide per level), 3 Gem Decks (1 deck per level), and 3 Illustrated boxes, containing 4 sleeves each, to hold and organize the collection.
