My Students
Our Montessori classroom consists of 24 students ranging in age from 3 to 6 years old. They love coming to school every day and learning new things! Each student comes from a very different background. Students start in our classroom when they are only 3 years old. They stay with us for three years before moving on to first grade.
My Project
I am requesting an incubator, chicken hatching supplies, and chicken educational materials. These items will help our class obtain a hands-on experience with the life cycle of a chicken. Students’ experiences in the classroom directly affect their ability to learn, their overall academic performance, as well as their feelings about themselves and others. Exactly the reason we need more than books. An incubator will allow children to experience science and nature first hand. Having that hands-on experience will be embedded into their memory for years to come.
