Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom is fun with lots of hands-on learning. My students are so eager to learn and love school so much. They get excited about new things and new topics we learn about.

Most of my students come from lower-income families, and one hundred percent of my campus receives free lunch. My students are very young and love helping me out. My students typically come from all sorts of backgrounds with things other people may not be experiencing at their homes.

Students need school for social, emotional, and academic growth. ​Your support will allow our students to have materials and tools to foster lifelong learning. Our school is a place where they can get their needs met both emotionally and physically. I want to ensure my students feel safe and want to come to school.

My Project

I am using a new and exciting curriculum this year, Creative Curriculum. One of the learning centers is called Toys & Games. In this center there needs to be many different options for the student to choose from- with the focus on math and literacy skills.

Imagine getting to learn important skills- such as counting and the alphabet thru fun and games.

This is what I am hoping to accomplish with this project. The matching sets are self correcting as well as tactile so they can feel the letters and pictures. The alphabet locks are also self correcting to the students can continue to learn and be successful.
