My Students

I live in an area heavily impacted by Hurricane Florence. The majority of our families face economic challenges and Hurricane Florence exacerbated their limited resources.

For my students, our classroom has become our stable sanctuary.

The more interactive and fun we can make our daily activities, the more students will begin to find joy again.

Working on skills through game play will reinforce skills taught and helps with mastery, which boosts self confidence and understanding. Help us to help ourselves.

My Project

These hands-on math dominoes and folder games will give students another way to review their math skills! Number lines also help students show their skills off!

Learning through play gives them the opportunity to use the skills they have learned while also helping others who may still need encouragement and practice.

Giving my students the opportunities to play and explore with math games will build their skill levels and personal confidence with math! The joy it brings them when they solve a problem, finally figuring something out, is a feeling that is much needed in our classroom, school, and community.
