My Students

I am lucky enough to teach in a grant-funded Pre-K classroom within our local school district. My classroom has an A.M. and P.M. class that consists of 20 three, four, and five year-old students. All of my students love being in school and are eager to learn! They all have "at-risk" lives so my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and loving environment to help these students grow and learn. We have a classroom that is full of life and energy, and we love every minute of it!

My Project

My preschool students need fun math games to practice math. Hands-on learning is an essential part of developmental appropriate practices for 3 to 5 year olds.

These math games come with hands-on activities that are fun and interesting to my students.

For example, the number bots are robots that turn in to numbers. Nuts about counting is a game with nuts and bolts kids can’t wait to get their hands on! Children just choose a bolt featuring a numeral from 1 to 10 and twist on the matching number of nuts. The counting set has 10 picture mats labeled with numbers 1 through 10, plus tons of irresistible manipulatives that belong in each picture. Students just count out objects to match the number printed on the mat.
