My Project
Thank you for your interest in our project! For my Kindergartners, I am looking to create an opportunity for them to learn through the use of all of their senses. This light table will allow them to explore learning through sight. Children learn best visually, and this light table enhances that learning. Here are just a few more benefits: problem-solving skills, sharing space and materials, math concepts, fine motor skill development, spatial awareness, concentration, etc. The dominoes will help hit on the math concepts and the builders will address the problem-solving, sharing, and fine motor skill development. Literacy skills will also be developed through the use of this light table.
A light table conforms to the Montessori method.
This method of teaching includes self-directed, hands-on activities. Montessori allows for students to be intrinsically motivated to learn. They are not afraid to try and fail and are able to reach high levels of concentration. This later flows into all areas of a person's life. With your help, I would love to give my students this opportunity to grow in ways that will impact their learning for the rest of their lives. They deserve the world and more! I would like to open as many doors for them as I can! Again, thank YOU for your help!
