Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 9-12 grade English in Los Angeles.
My students need to be able to delve into the different aspects of language and words. My students only have access to elementary school-level dictionaries.
In each of the novels we cover in class, I strive to address the vocabulary; however, I am very limited because the dictionaries are not at the appropriate level for my students.
Please help my students to acquire the resources they need to be able to compete in today's world. You have that power.
