My students need technology in the classroom. We have no computers in our room for my third graders to use to publish stories, research topics for reports, and more, so we are requesting a computer and a printer.
Technology is an integral part of our culture as demands increase in the 21st century, yet my students have access to a computer only once every two weeks when they go to our school's computer lab. Please help my third grade students get technology at their fingertips on a daily basis!
I have an amazing group of third grade students who thrive on leadership and creativity.
Although in a public school in Utah, we follow Stephen Covey's 7 Habits. This leadership model has had an amazing impact on each student as they strive to find their voice and discover who they are and how they can impact the world.
I have twenty-five student leaders, all with very unique needs. I have six special education students who are on IEP's (Individualized Education Program) who could benefit greatly from the use of a computer/printer. There are website resources that could be used to support their special education goals within my very own room.
It is my belief as an educator that all of my students this year, and in years to come, could benefit from the technology that you are making possible for them.
Thank you for your support!
My Project
Having a computer in our third grade classroom for students to use would allow them so many opportunities. For example, my students could use the computer during a reading center and access websites where stories could be read to them. Then they could take comprehension tests and print the results to take home to share with their parents. Another way the computer and printer could be used is during Writer's Workshop. My students could use the computer to type up stories and poems they write and "publish" them by printing them for their portfolios. They could also use a computer and printer when researching information for reports or to just learn more about topics we are studying in Science and History. Finally, my students who have special needs could use the computer to access websites that will target their learning goals. As you can see, all twenty-five of my third grade students could greatly benefit from your donation to fund this technology project.
Thank you!
This project is near and dear to my heart because I believe that technology is such an important part of each students' future and it is my job to help prepare my students for it.
As a professional, I strive to do whatever it takes to make sure that I am meeting their needs. With your help in this partnership, we can make that happen. Thank you!
