My Students

In today's world, there are a variety of learners. Every student has the ability to succeed on every level!! It is our duty as teachers to actively engage students in the classroom regardless of ability and level. Technology in the classroom builds confidence in students

In NYC public school, teachers are faced with the most diverse population of students.

Ethnic groups speaking dozens of languages, students of different abilities with many learning issues and styles and a teacher who wants to reach all of them. My public NYC high school services more special needs students than any other general education high school in the city.

My Project

I am requesting a projector so that I may create lessons that could affect all types of learners. The ability to use my computer everyday is an amazing idea. I teach social studies and this will open a whole new world and allow me to show video clips, audio clips, maps and many other media resources all in one period. The fact that my notes could be translated for foreign language learners is an amazing idea.

I believe that differentiation of instruction gives all kids a chance to succeed.

By using technology and media, I know that my diverse population of learners will surely benefit. It's funny what one projection of light from a computer could do for learning....AMAZING
