My students need 2 digital cameras for my Business Technology class. We are in the process of creating web pages for each student, and a camera would allow us to capture memories.

My Students

People put their own websites and web pages for different reasons. Others just want to be heard. Some love sharing their work, ideas, talents, and resources with other people. There are several who put them up to earn money. At our school, we plan to create websites to share with other schools.

We are a public high school in a major metropolitan city.

Currently we have over 2200 students that attend our high school. Of that, 43% are African American, 46% Caucasian, 6.1% are Asian or Pacific Islander, and 2.0% are Hispanic. With that being said, we are a very multicultural school with talented and unique students. We are also the only high school in our city that has a Hearing Impaired program. My students are "tech savvy" students who bring a number of ideas to the classroom. Not a day goes by that I am not amazed at their creativity and talent.

My Project

In our technology class, we are in the process of creating web pages for our students. We want to showcase the uniqueness of each of our students and show other schools and students to create relationships outside of our school. Not only would we like to showcase our students to other schools, but we plan to get the business community involved in hopes of sponsoring our students for future careers. With the use of the cameras that we are requesting, we will be able to post information about our school and students to show everyone their talents and creativity. We will use the cameras for future students who plan to enroll in the technology class.

With the cameras requested, we will be able to provide our students the technology needed to create websites.

Our goal is to empower our students to be more tech savvy students who are ready for the next generation of technology.
