We are the very first softball team at our school! We have all of the spirit and dedication but none of the equipment.
The team is made up of very eager middle school girls from grades six through eight.
Many of them were so excited about the idea of a softball team at our school, that they spoke up in order for the program to be granted permission to begin. They can't wait to represent their school as part of its first softball team.
My Project
Our school has never had a softball team, so we don't have any equipment. Each player is responsible for getting her own glove and cleats as well as raising money to purchase her uniform. We'll need bats and balls in order to play though! The catcher's equipment and batting helmets are mandatory for safety. The coaching equipment will be helpful for organization.
Teamwork, responsibility, health, respect, and fairness will be main focuses as we progress through our first season as a team.
