It is amazing to have a conversation with a students about what they have learned through reading. My students have a great interest in nonfiction texts but often they are not fully comprehending what they are reading.
I have an amazing class full of students on a wide scale of reading abilities.
My students love to read and are very interested in the world around them. They are all working towards finding texts that interest them and many of them have found a great passion for informational/nonfiction texts!
My Project
The resources I am asking for will greatly benefit the students in my classroom. The resources will greatly benefit me in teaching students how to comprehend informational and narrative texts. I will also be able to provide each student will informational text which is on their individual reading levels. These resources will benefit each of my classes for years to come!
Most text that we read as adults is informational text.
It is very important for students to have the comprehension skills necessary to fully understand what they are reading. The resources I have asked for will greatly benefit them and help them to not only become better readers but also to enjoy reading!
