Students will travel around the world at our International Festival getting their passport stamped at each country they visit. Along the way they will learn about each country and have a chance to create their own artwork.
Our school is in a more rural suburb located close to a major city.
Our school population is a wonderful mixture of diverse cultures and ethnicities and our students are talented in many areas. Our teachers go the extra mile to create a learning environment that challenges and nurtures all of our students.
My Project
These materials will be used to help enhance our annual International Festival which is a school-wide celebration of the diverse cultures and ethnicities represented in our student population. Parents, grandparents, students, teachers and community members are encouraged to share their heritage and culture through presentations, displays, discussions and performances. Students taste, talk, ask and create and in doing so learn more about our global community, their fellow classmates and the world. We need Art materials including paint, origami paper, and stamp pads.
The International Festival gives each student a chance to share their unique heritage and highlight what makes them interesting and special.
It allows other students to gain first-hand knowledge about a variety of countries and cultures around the world and gain a better understanding of our global community.
