Making Music with a Vengeance

My Students

"I have the honor of helping a fabulous bunch of third-graders learn! We are a title one school with a lot of varying needs. The children in my classroom are so special! Some of these children have experienced more negative events in their young lives than anyone should experience in a lifetime.

They don't often get the chance to just be kids.

They are required to grow up so fast for many reasons. Regardless, I want them to have the chance to play and run and dream everyday! We don't have supply monies for extra equipment, it comes out of our teacher-supply monies. I want my students to have hula hoop contests, play hopscotch and four-square. I want them to know the importance of getting outdoors and playing their stress away!!!!

My Project

We put our whole selves into our school work! I want them to know there's not only a reward for hard work, but a way to get out, refresh, fill up so you can start back into putting your whole self into learning until the next break! For them to have colorful, new equipment stored in an organized fashion sitting right in our classroom would be a huge motivator for them to "Keep On Going!" Using creative, fun exciting instruments and play items, they can learn to be a positive impact on our environment!

Your help with our project will make the difference in a lot of little lives.

It will help to empower them not only with the use of the new equipment, but more importantly, with the knowledge that the world cares about them! It can and will help solidify for them that there are resources to help them be the very best they can be!!!
