This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember in school when you would get tired of the same old history books? Well, having current events delivered to our classroom door monthly would be fantastic.

My students are in the second grade living in a low income, urban area of New Jersey.

With the economy in so much trouble, our school is suffering due to major budget cuts. Any donation to our classroom would be highly appreciated and mean so much to my students.

My Project

These "Time for Kids" magazines will open up my students' eyes to events in the world around them. They will be able to talk to each other about their views on certain events. It will broaden their vocabulary and give them an opportunity to understand what goes on in the world.

Your donation will inspire and motivate my students in history.

It will let them know that there is more in the world than their community in which they live. My students will get up-to-date news on things which will be interesting to them. Instead of reading a regular newspaper that is too difficult for them, they will be able to understand it.
