Welcome to the third grade classroom, where students are encouraged to enjoy reading and where books are brain food for the Sharks!
Third Grade is an important year for capturing student interest in reading. Students have shown a great interest in audiobooks with accompanying books, but my low classroom budget does not allow for me to spend limited resources on the audiobooks that students love so much.
So often, students do not have a parent at home that has time, or the ability to model good reading. This project will allow for students to have a listening center that they can be proud of, and where they can spend time listening to books and hearing what fluent reading sounds like. This listening center project will also enable students of vary abilities to hear quality literature and stories of interest.
Your help will ensure that my students have a listening center that will spark a love for reading that will impact their lives forever.
