Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Teaching third grade in Texas can be challenging. With the focus placed on the state testing, motivating students can be challenging. With a high poverty percentage and where 99% of the students are considered at risk, the following request will provide motivation for the students!

Working in a Title 1 school with the limited selection in our school library, trying to get enough age - appropriate material can be challenging. Not only will students have the chance to read four different books, but along with these books, they will have the opportunity to read along with a CD.

Not only can students relate to these books, but the CDs can provide an assistance tool at home as well as in school. Students as well as parents will be able to use these materials.

Your help and contribution will go a long way. The joy of reading will be experienced by all - students, parents and teachers. Please help build our third grade library that will last for a really long time.
