Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

At Automotive High School we have formed a cooperative program between the Trades Program and the Business and Information Technology Program. As part of this new joint venture, we will be opening a school store and expanding our service shop. The business students will be managing this store, as well as learning how to staff the service desk. At this point we are still setting up the store, and we need a lot of miscellaneous items to get it up and running. In this proposal, I am specifically asking for funding for a display cabinet and a cash register. These two items will go a long way to making our store a functioning reality. This store will provide great real-world experience for all the students involved, both the trade and business students. It will give them invaluable experience in how to run a business and serve customers. The materials we are requesting will assist us in or goal of providing training for our students in authentic work situations. Thank you for considering this proposal.
