On May 20, 2013, the city of Moore, Oklahoma was hit by an EF-5 tornado. Two schools were completely destroyed and more were damaged.

The DonorsChoose.org community came to the rescue, donating funds to replace classroom furniture, first aid kits, technology, musical instruments, and books, just in time for the first day of school.
