We are very excited to join the DonorsChoose District Partnership Program, because it provides new
opportunities for teachers to fund special projects that prepare our students to thrive. By partnering with
DonorsChoose, our educators demonstrate their exceptional commitment to supporting all students.
About Marietta City Schools
Founded in 1892, Marietta City Schools is tradition-rich and future-focused. We are one of Georgia’s first Charter Systems and first International Baccalaureate (IB) World School Districts.
Marietta City Schools serves approximately 8,900 students in 12 schools representing a diverse student body—about 38 percent Hispanic, 37 percent African American, 20 percent White—with approximately 60 percent of our students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. Nine of our 12 schools are Title I.
Our small size affords us the rare ability to be both nimble and innovative as a public school district. With the help of talented staff, engaged families, and strong community partners, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of the whole child through innovative classroom learning and a relentless focus on each student.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
