District Partner
Humboldt County School District is a progressive public school system located in rural north-central Nevada, 170 miles east of Reno, Nevada. The district covers 9,600 sq. miles, serving approximately 3,400 students over 11 schools. Our schools are comprised of three K-4 schools, a 5-6 middle schools, a 7-8 junior high, and a 9-12 high school located in Winnemucca. In addition, HCSD operates four K-87 schools and one K-12 school in our rural communities. The district also houses a robust Distance Education program serving opportunities outside the traditional brick and mortar setting.

HCSD schools are routinely honored for academic accomplishments which reflect a core of talented and dedicated teachers and staff members who benefit from strong parental and community support. Innovation is key to academic growth and the district is actively engaged in enhancing opportunities for students to engage in personalized learning. This work is supported by a strong Board of Trustees that have been recognized in Nevada as School Board of the Year (x2) and Governance Team of the Year.
