About Hawkins County Schools

Hawkins County Schools are located in a mostly rural community in the upper eastern portion of Tennessee. The county encompasses 570 square miles and is one of the largest counties in the State. Hawkins County has rich history. The Board of Education offices are at home in Rogersville, the second oldest town in Tennessee.

The district is home base to 17 schools from Pre-K through 12th grade and serves over 6,100 students. The mission is to educate and graduate each student. The vision for Hawkins County Schools’ is to assure graduates are prepared for college and career to enable them to become productive citizens and successful members of the workforce.

All our educators have exhibited their dedication to the students especially during the pandemic when they worked long and extra hours for the success of the students. Here, you will find some of the best educators in the state. It is the goal of Hawkins County Schools to provide not only an education and assist students in reaching their full potential, but to prepare them for life beyond the four walls of their schools.
