The faculty members and PTA of I.S. 24 recognize that we need to rise to the challenge of overcoming all the obstacles our students are now faced with. We take pride in our accomplishments in building a successful school community. We want to ensure that our success will not be diminished as has been the case with our school budget. Each month the teachers of I.S. 24 will post new proposals on the DonorsChoose.org “Giving Page” under the title; “The Option To Do Nothing, Is Not An Option”. On this page family and friends can view the various requests from teachers from our school. As a result of the harsh budget cuts, we are asking that family and friends of I.S. 24 assist our students directly by supporting anyone of our teacher initiative classroom projects and supply request by making donations directly through www.DonorsChoose.org . Donors Choose allows us to post the proposals that will directly support our classroom teachers. The Donors Choose organization is a non for profit group and will handle all financial aspects for each proposal made by our teaching staff. In participating with this project, you will enjoy in the power of giving. You will also enjoy the many letters and pictures sent to you by our students. You will see how your donation made a difference in classrooms directly in our school. Every little bit helps make a difference for our students.
