My students need access to books because many of them don't have that at home. By the time they reach my 8th grade classroom they have read all the books in our school library that they are interested in. Our school librarian and I are in the process of trying to organize a fundraiser for our media center but in the meantime I have to find a way to feed the minds of my students. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars of my own money to furnish our classroom library but sadly, books are desposable. The kids lose them, or destroy them. The favorites fall apart after being "loved" by several of the students. I need help funding a well-stocked library that will engage and challenge my students. We all appreciate your support! hide
