On the heels of the "striking" success of our inaugural Rock & Bowl charity event (we raised almost $11,000), we’re once again ready to rock, roll and bowl, while benefiting extraordinary charities in an extraordinary world. After serious consideration of many exceptional charities, the beneficiaries of Rock & Bowl 2 are the Dengue Relief Foundation and DonorsChoose.org The Dengue Relief Foundation – www.denguerelief.org – is a Bay Area-based organization that focuses on economic, educational and encouraging dengue relief efforts in Latin America. Our objective is to raise money towards the purchase of an ambulance to benefit communities that are largely affected by poverty, disparity and infectious diseases. Donors Choose – www.donorschoose.com – directly provides US public school students with resources, materials and experiences that needy schools often lack. The money we raise will go directly to funding many worthwhile projects. Rock & Bowl 2 - Just the facts: This is how Rock & Bowl works - we have 11 teams, with 11 people stepping up to captain their own bowling team. These teams do not only compete in the "ancient art" of bowling but they also compete in raising money for our charities. The ultimate goal for each team/lane is to raise at least $1,000 in additional donations from their family, friends, employers(ees), sponsors, contacts, etc. Although the goal is to raise $1,000 per team, the sky is the limit, and we strongly encourage reaching towards it. Prizes will be given for the teams and individuals who raise the most money. So please help us reach our goal by donating any amount you can!
