Karen Marinelli is a first grade teacher at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, OK. On the afternoon of May 20th, 2013, she instinctively and selflessly protected students with her own body. She shielded three of her students and undoubtedly saved their lives when the brick wall crumbled onto her back.
