A friend mine began teaching elementary children (K-4 ) art at an inner city school in Philadelphia which for 21 years has had no funding for an arts programs. Hi Everyone - - I wanted to share this awesome site with you! A friend mine began teaching elementary children (K-4 ) art at an inner city school in Philadelphia which for 21 years has had no funding for an arts programs. Last year, for the first time, in her classes, these children experienced the joys of self expression, the magic of imagination and excitement of discovery through the creative projects in her art classes. Helping children develop self-expression, imaginative and creative skills not only builds self esteem but can also help them become better learners in other important subjects.
