Autistic Preschoolers Dive Into Education

Sometimes it’s really tough being so young and in school. To add to that, all of our students are on the autistic spectrum. They attend school everyday for two and a half hours. We have AM and PM students, a total of 16 amazing 3-4 year old children, who make their teachers smile daily. They have some needs that our school just does not have the money to provide for. This proposal includes materials that would aid them with sensory, vestibular and relaxation needs. Our students respond well to water because it calms them when things get tough for them to handle. There is a lot of research that proves that sensory, relaxation and vestibular therapies are needed to assist our students with a productive way of calming and then being able to attend to the intensive education that we provide for them. hide
