As I have been touring the country, I’m asking students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to suggest their best ideas to accomplish our goal of providing every child in America with a complete and competitive education, from cradle through career. I have heard many great ideas. We are listening to teachers, parents, and others, and working hard to make systematic reforms. With the combined efforts of state, local, and federal governments; along with concerned and caring individuals, we can turn our schools around, and dramatically improve the lives of our children. One thing I have heard all over the country is that our classrooms need materials immediately. If you want to speed up the process, and help our children get the specific items they need fast, you may want to consider finding ways to provide support directly to teachers and schools.
