It is hard to learn when you do not have a proper place to sit. It is a challenge to concentrate on a lesson when the seat of your chair tips over to one side, forcing you to focus on keeping your body from falling onto the floor. It is a challenge to concentrate on a lesson when the seat of your chair tips over to one side, forcing you to focus on keeping your body from falling onto the floor. It is impossible for a struggling reader to get lost in a book when their feels chair awkward and uncomfortable. There is a chair shortage in our school. The chairs we do have are old and worn and incredibly uncomfortable! Currently, in my classroom we have the old chairs and four new chairs that were donated along with my new U-table in September, thanks to Donors Choose! My students fuss and fight over those four chairs every day. Chairs are a foundation for learning. They support students’ bodies and allow them to focus on their brains’ acquisition of knowledge. I am requesting 8 stacking chairs to be used by my (45) 3th - 5th grade students during small group. They are guaranteed to allow countless students to focus their brains on building a strong foundation for reading. Thank you for your commitment to education! My students need 8 stacking chairs.
