Making Geometric Shapes Fun: a Hands-On Adventure

My Project

The classroom supplies and materials I requested for my EL Math classes will help students be more engaged in learning. My classes are made up of a diverse group of visual and kinesthetic learners who require these essential materials from DonorsChoose to truly engage with and master geometric concepts.

My goal is to create a dynamic learning environment where students actively explore, manipulate, and visualize geometric shapes.

The 3D geometric shapes will make abstract concepts tangible, while markers, compasses, paper, and pencils will allow for precise construction and creative exploration. Folders will organize their work, promoting a focused and structured learning experience. These items will make a significant difference by transforming passive learning into active discovery, fostering a deeper understanding of geometry, and empowering students to become confident problem-solvers.
