This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year special education teacher, I'm on a mission to empower my 200 students with a passion for physical science. In a special school where many students come from low income families, I am teaching science to a group of strong and determined kids. Some of them face extra challenges in learning, but they still really love science. Right now, we are learning about energy, and their excitement keeps us going. To make learning even better, we need some cool science kits, like egg drop and rollercoaster, colorful markers, and pencils. For the students with learning challenges, using technology is really important. It helps them understand and create their energy and speed projects in a way that works best for them. Our big goal with this project is to help students connect the dots between force, motion, and energy. We want them to be able to do science experiments about these things, make predictions, and think about what happened in the experiments.

To achieve this, we require your support in acquiring classroom supplies, materials for engaging science projects, and the little extra motivation that snacks provide.
